TARKARLI, MAHARASHTRA
Tarkarli is a beautiful beach town and a picturesque fishing hamlet in the Malvan taluka of Sindhudurg in the state of Maharashtra. It is a soothing holiday destination for the city dwellers who are looking for some cool, peaceful and calm place away from the noise, hustle and bustle and the crowd of the cities. It is situated at a remote location away from the cities. The tranquil blue of the seas, the white soft sands of the lonely beaches bounded and surrounded by tall coconut trees are surely an admirable sight to see. Since it is a new place that is discovered , the beaches and the environment here is clean as there are fewer people in this place. Tarkarli is mainly known for providing a wide range of water sports such as snorkelling, parasailing and scuba diving. This place is popular since it is located close to Malvan and Sindhudurg which are important historical and heritage sites. Tarkarli has not seen much of urbanisation, so it is a peaceful, clean as well as a dream tourist site for tourists who head to this place. Its calm and natural surroundings is what attracts tourists to this place.
