Its beaches are the most wonderful sights you will ever see. They stand out as a symbol of immense natural beauty. HOW TO REACH: Daman has no direct connectivity to the rest of India by any means. The nearest stop for both roadways and railways is Vapi in Gujarat, which is barely 13 kms from Daman. Surat is the nearest stop for the airborne travellers.

FOOD: Daman is equally enjoyable for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparations and offers countless options.  While there is Parsi and Gujarati food available here, the seafood is splendid and the island also has quite a street food culture.

SHOPPING: Seashell jewellery , oyster artefacts, bamboo items , electronics, leather slippers, liquor are the popular items to shop here.

Daman is a cool place to chill out with family and friends. Since it is not very well known , the environment is safe and protected here. There is no stress of urbanisation and migration so the nature is  clean and pure. But visiting this place has its own charm as there is  no noise, pollution and hustle and bustle like the other tourist spots in India. You can have your own private space as it is less crowded. Daman is a place which should surely be visited if you want to attain some inner peace and quietness.
