MUMBAI MERI JAAN
It is rightly said that Mumbai is a city that never sleeps. Taking for example, yesterday in Mulund, I saw an unusual long queue at a bus stop in Mulund which stretched for atleast 1 kilometer. In this covid 19 pandemic, it was such a risky thing. Also they weren't bored to stand in such a big queue. This was hilarious!! People were so optimistic and focused towards their work and goal, that the covid pandemic did not seem to deter them and they were nicely at ease in carrying out their daily routine work. Such is the spirit of Mumbai that nothing can stop people from moving on in life. The ongoing Covid pandemic has largely affected the livelilood of the common man, still people are trying to get back to work inspite of facing so many insecurities and discomforts of Covid 19. This is the charm of this city. May it be an epidemic or a terrorist attack, the city is back on its toes the next day with enthusiasm and determination. This is the spirit that defines Mumbai from other cities of the world.
When we try to describe Mumbai, various problems such as overpopulation ,pollution , poverty , traffic and congested roads of the city come to our mind. But inspite of so many problems, people are determined to keep moving on and getting back to normal life. This attitude impresses me the most. People from India and all over the world reside in Mumbai. Mumbai has and will be a home to all cultures and backgrounds. People are always there to help each other. There are many tourist spots and recreation centres in this city which make people free from work. There is so much diversity in the culture and way of life in Mumbai which can make every individual proud of living in this city.
I have lived in this city all my life and will continue to do so. The attitude and spirit of the people here impresses me the most. I am proud of being a Mumbaikar and will always stand up to support this beautiful city.
Aamchi mumbai aahe!!!!
