Ganpati Bappa Morya
Mumbai recorded the quietest Ganpati celebration ever in the last 10 years due to the coronavirus outbreak. With Lalbaugcha raja, Andhericha raja and Chinchpoklicha raja getting scrapped, it was sad to the huge Ganpati mandals empty this year. With the noise pollution levels going down significantly, utmost concern towards environmental balance was shown this year. Mulund was one among the quietest suburbs. People opted for smallest Ganpatis and immersed them at their homes or in artificial ponds and lakes. Juhu chowpatty, Girgaum chowpatty and Versova beach wore a deserted look . The coronavirus pandemic was the reason that crowds did not gather this year and the festival was celebrated on a smaller scale. Utmost care of the environment was taken. It was a different experience altogether without any noise and celebrations being conducted. While bidding farewell to Lord Ganpati, lets hope for a better and grand celebration next year.
Ganpati Bappa Morya , pudchya varshi lavkar yaa!!!
