Why
it is ok not to travel a lot
Travel sounds a fantasy and is every individual’s desire. It
will be a pleasure until it is confused with self esteem , power or prestige.
It is a new learning experience, a great stressbuster and a time of fun and
memories. Travel sounds very fancy on the outside but there are a lot of
arrangements that are needed to be done internally. Money, contacts,
proper information of places, good health, transportation , accomodation are
the factors that come into consideration.
Surprisingly , the word travel is being confused in a variety of factors, The basic meaning of
it is to explore something new, something different from your comfort zone or
your daily life. Now, apart from pleasure and a stressbuster , one is forced to
travel otherwise he/she will be termed as boring or unproductive by society.
Initially , travelling to exotic places and destinations and sharing pics on
facebook and instagram had become a major fashion . While some travel for
pleasure, some for their basic needs and work, the other section of the
population is indirectly forced to travel because the other majority of the
population is doing so. Some may get the proper privileges to travel
while some may not. Not travelling much is not a bad thing. Roadtrips have
become a fashion and those who do it are termed as heroes and studs. Not
everyone can afford a high luxury hotel, or a branded car or possess contacts
of authority. Travelling requires atleast some sort of stability in health,
mind and the surroundings because one is
experiencing many changes that are not familiar to him.
Seeing new places , new people, new ways of lifestyle along with
refreshing your mind can also drain your health a bit because it indirectly
involves exertion which we assume as pleasure.
Among different other moving factors, one requires atleast one familiar
aspect which he can have control of and merge his need if other factors are not
able to do so. Since India is a multi-cultured country with so many diversities
in people, cultures , places, monuments, travelling to different places all
over the country had become a obligation to show that we are a part of this
country. It goes well when one is able to afford it but recently it has become
a major trauma since it is assumed to continously be done even if it is against one’s
conditions sparking major panic and confusion. It is also confused with a
blindfaith assuming the creator of all this as the government. People who
cannot afford to travel are forced to give up their basic necessities in the
fear of being named as ‘not a part of the society’ or facing punishment by law
or the people around them.
It is important we understand and consider travel to be a part of
travel and exploring rather than anything else.
